“JOMON DAYS WORKSHOP” Location, Date and Time

The Japan Digital Arts Sports Organization (Location: Kudan Minami, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Katsuji Amagasaki; hereafter “JDAS”) will hold a sustainable Jomon period lifestyle and culture experience event as part of the “FY2022 Japan Expo Innovation Project Grant Program (Japan Arts Council / Agency for Cultural Affairs)” (*1). JOMON DAYS: Jomon Culture x SDGs for Japan’s Future” (hereafter “JOMON DAYS”), an event that allows visitors to experience the lifestyle and culture of the Jomon period (2022).

This event will consist of two parts: the “JOMON DAYS WORKSHOP,” a workshop event that will tour three locations throughout Japan, and the “JOMON DAYS SATELLITE,” a permanent event scheduled to begin in October.

As the first of the events, the “JOMON DAYS WORKSHOP,” a workshop event where visitors can actually experience life and culture of the Jomon period, will start on Saturday, September 3, starting at Seven Park Amami in Osaka.
This time, with the full cooperation of the Sannai-Maruyama Site Center and Seven & i Create Link Co. The tour will be held in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kanagawa Prefecture.
At the Osaka venue on September 3rd and 4th, in addition to workshops, earthenware and stoneware excavated in the local Amami area will be on display.
In addition, earthenware excavated at the Sannai-Maruyama Site, a World Heritage site, will also be on display for visitors to touch and feel.
The details of the following event, “JOMON DAYS SATELLITE,” will be announced as soon as it is finalized.

(*1) This event is part of “JOMON DAYS”, an event where visitors can experience various aspects of Jomon culture.
“JOMON DAYS” has been selected by the Agency for Cultural Affairs as part of the “2022 Japan Expo as an opportunity to create cultural resource content (innovation-type project).

Background of the “JOMON DAYS” Project

What is the Japan Expo?
